Industrial Risk Engineer

Large EU multinational Insurance Group

Situation

Our client engaged us to search for an Industrial Risk Engineer, with responsibility for the largest risk taking on electrical generation and industrial plants. They had previously engaged the two largest executive search firms for over one year and had not been successful in finding an appropriate candidate.

Challenge

The client specifications for the role were very high level: high engineering degrees, full command of three European languages as a minimum, over ten years experience in supervision of turn-key engineering projects, with US & EU living background, specialized in two leading industrial equipments, willing to be based in Madrid.

Methodology/Solution

The consultants of Search Key People conducted comprehensive industry research and embarked on a broad search for candidates in the US, EU, Japan, Australia and LATAM regions.

Candidate

Although it took some time to conduct this broad a search, ultimately we were able to identify not one but two exceptional candidates that met all of the client criteria. The client subsequently hired both.

Both candidates continue to be strong contributors to the client organization five years later.
